Dean Seim

Dean Seim, 85, of Salina, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2017. He was born April 4, 1931, at home to Howard and Mildred Seim. Virginia Lacy and Dean were married May 3, 1953.

Dean graduated from Kipp School and was a Korean War Air Force veteran. Dean and Virginia operated a dairy farm west of Kipp for more than 40 years and farmed wheat and ranched until his death. Dean was active in the community and served on the Southeast of Saline School Board, Saline County Rural Water No. 2 Board, and numerous others.

Preceded in death by: his parents; and sons, Bruce Seim and Bobby Seim.

Survivors: his wife, Virginia; son, Gary Seim, of Salina; daughter, Joyce Mason (James), of Craig, Alaska; grandchildren, Jodi Mason, of Wakefield, Jill Mason, of Manhattan, James R. Mason, of Nikiski, Alaska, Nolan Seim (Katie), of Columbus, Ohio, Lacy Seim, of N.Y., Chole Seim, of Lawrence, and Michael Seim, of Salina; and great-granddaughter, Ellie Seim.

Visitation: 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery, Salina.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at Roselawn.
