H.O.P.E. (Helpers Overcoming Problems Effectively)
information provided by: the Core Service Agencies
HOPE is made up of volunteers from many member churches and the community who try to find resources to meet peoples financial crises needs. Volunteers answer the HOPE hotline phones, take the necessary information, and attempt to find the resources to meet the need. Financial resources come to HOPE from over 20 churches throughout the county and numerous businesses and civic organizations. Volunteers also work in the food pantry and give out food to needy clients and are available to take calls on Monday thru Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Our clients are people from all walks of life and all ages. Most are the working poor who never make enough money to meet daily needs. Many are on public assistance and never have enough to handle the crises that come their way. Some are people just like you and me who have had a crises of monumental proportions, such as a divorce, a house fire, a severe medical emergency, long term loss of employment, etc. All of these people just need a helping hand to help them overcome their financial troubles.
